This information is needed (1) to optimise the content and display logic of our website, (2) to refine our website’s advertising strategy (3) to ensure the long-term functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website meets market demand, (4) to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for law enforcement in the event of a cyberattack, and (5) to enhance the accuracy of TecAlliance’s vehicle identification based on VIN decoding. Overall, this collected data and information is therefore evaluated by TecAlliance both statistically and with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company to ultimately ensure an optimum level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal information provided by the person concerned and will be deleted once it is no longer needed for its collection purpose.
2.2 Registration and Use of TecAlliance Services
Due to the nature of the content or services provided on this website, we require users to register to access our services. 6.2 If the VIN you input belongs to the vehicle registered under your name, you authorize and consent to TecAlliance processing that VIN.
6.3 If the VIN you input does not belong to the vehicle registered under your name but is entered for the purpose of vehicle maintenance, and the owner authorizes you to input the VIN to inquire about related spare parts, you promise and guarantee that you have obtained the owner’s authorization and will conduct inquiries within the scope authorized by the owner.
6.4 If the VIN you input does not belong to the vehicle registered under your name and you have not obtained any authorization, you promise and guarantee not to use our web catalogue service for inquiries. In such cases, you agree that TecAlliance has the right to refuse to provide web catalogue services to you. If your query violates current laws and regulations of China, we reserve the right to pursue your legal responsibility. If necessary, we will report to relevant regulatory enforcement departments.
